Lab Manager

Matt is the current Laboratory Manager for the Marine Gene Probe Lab. He holds a BSc (Hons) from Cape Breton University and an MSc from Acadia University, where he studied the population genetics of the North Atlantic Sea Cucumber (Cucumaria frondosa). His previous research interests have included both marine and freshwater invertebrates, particularly DNA Barcoding and reliable species identification. Currently, Matt is interested in the optimization of methods for processing eDNA samples from freshwater lakes.
